I was kindly invited to a judging panel for the second round of the International Content Marketing Awards on Thursday November 1st.
The awards ceremony, run by the Content Marketing Association, takes place at Old Billingsgate on November 28th where NewsReach will be in attendance at the International Content Marketing Summit during the day with the awards to look forward to in the evening.
The Awards have categories for content produced for every marketing channel – print, online, mobile and video – so I was delighted to be invited and have our say on who the winners should be.
Without giving away any secrets, there were some tough calls! One round went to a ballot where we were torn between three entries. It was terribly difficult due to genuinely excellent engaging and effective content. We were told at the beginning that alongside CMA members, the number of entries from non-CMA members and international participants were higher than ever, so it’s clear the event is growing year on year.
Another couple of rounds were unanimous as we all loved the winners. On another round we were party to a heated debate. Our different viewpoints left very diverse finalists on the table. All the judges were vocal and made some good pitches, so we were all agreed (and friends!) by the end. We had some lovely lunch, amazing cakes and a drink or two at the end. It was really great to network with others working in content in many different guises. Thank you for inviting us to such an entertaining day CMA. We look forward to the awards!
