Content marketing is no longer a term thrown around in the air; it has become a more solid concept in 2013 with brands implementing original and exciting campaigns but still lacking a firm strategy. Our research shows that more than four in five already invest in content marketing, with 98 per cent of respondents intending to maintain or increase spending on content marketing in 2014.
Visual content is seen as the most effective content type – and not just video and infographics, but respondents named a mixture of photos, memes, cartoons, and custom graphics as ways they engage with their target audiences. As image-based social sharing sites such as Pinterest continue to rise in popularity, creative visual content will increase business.
